Still Waters Farm

Happy New Year!

We ended the year with the annual OPHA banquet where several of our riders got ribbons; a fun holiday party where the big gift this year was an aisle sweeper; and kids winter camp. We love our barn family and are so grateful to be able to spend time together!

As we start the new year the focus in our riding is on straightness in the horse. Lack of straightness can cause lameness issues and we want our horses to live long, happy and healthy lives. So, we’re all committed to working a little (well, really a lot) harder on our riding to keep the horses in a shape that will promote longevity.

It’s cold outside now but it’s staying pretty warm in the barn and the arena. Most people are wearing a light jacket or vest when they ride. As we look forward to summer we’re starting to think about dates for summer camp. If you plan on coming please let Kathy know if either of these weeks won’t work for you as both appear to be open, 6/20-6/24 or 6/27-7/1.

We’ll post more on the dates for upcoming camps soon!
